UBOAT is a simulation game from Deep Water in which you dive into the ocean during World War II as the captain of a German submarine. You will have to maintain your crew with the variety of resources available, facing your enemies and above all, taking care of your submarine for as long as possible.
It’s a game that will definitely have you gripped, we recommend that you try it without cheats the first few times, to get a true experience of the simulation. If you like combat games, but don’t have a day for a lot of action, give it a try.
UBOAT Cheats
To set the uboat cheats you have to open the console, to do this press ‘~’ on your keyboard. Once in the console you will be able to type in the commands, which are the uboat codes.
The following cheats can be used to gain a certain advantage in the game, or the opposite, as they can affect your submarine.
- Budget + ‘A number’ = Add money to spend in the game.
- Leak = Creates a water leak in your submarine, this will be random.
- Reputation + ‘Any number’ = Sets your reputation, which helps you access better purchases.
- Skip + ‘Any number and time unit’ = You advance through the game, skipping parts, so to speak. Using this command does not consume resources.
- Teleport + ‘Coordinates, which are two numbers’ = Teleports your submarine to the coordinates you set, you can also use negative numbers.
- Weather + ‘Any of the following weather (Fog, Calm, Cloudy, Storm)’ = Change the weather of the game, fog means foggy, calm means clear, cloudy means cloudy and storm means storm.
- XP + ‘A number’ – Adds experience to the crew.
- Spawn + ‘Name of ship or vehicle’ = Create any of the following vehicles you type: Warships, Convoy, Transport, Submarine.
- Torpedo = Launch a torpedo at the target you select.
- Wound = Damage your sailors.
- Bomb = Drop a bomb on the target of your choice.
- Detect + ‘Number’ = Creates a group near your location, this is random.
Is it good to use the UBOAT cheats?
If you feel the game is too difficult or you have been playing it for a while, you can use them to experiment or to get out of a problem you are having. On the other hand, if you are new to the game, it is best to familiarise yourself with the main controls and mechanics, so that you don’t lose interest in the game so quickly.
Some of the recommended ones are: Budget, Reputation, Teleport and XP. Mostly because they allow you to advance in the game, i.e. they are beneficial to the player, either by adding experience points or money in the game.
On the other hand, there are those that make life miserable for the crew of sailors living on the submarine. Examples of these are Leak or Wound, which affects both the sailors and the submarine. This is more for experimenting or challenging yourself in the game.

The game itself is very good, it has very diverse mechanics, ranging from survival to combat, it has very good graphics for the genre it is, it is very enjoyable even though it is early access, and the best thing is that it will give you many hours to enjoy it.
Most reviews on Steam recommend it, and that’s for a reason, plus it’s updated from time to time, so the developers haven’t let it go, even though it’s over three years old since its first release date. Coming from a team of developers who focus on simulation, you can see that it’s very well planned and, above all, realised, because they’ve managed to add new things and fix old ones.
